WILLIAM M. HABLINSKI, AIA
William Hablinski is founder of William Hablinski Architecture. With more than three decades of experience, Mr. Hablinski is an award-winning architect best known for designing high-end residences that combine historical architectural elements with modern lifestyles. Mr. Hablinski’s work can be seen in the some world’s most prestigious communities in California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New York, Texas, Singapore, Florida, and Mexico and Indonesia.
Mr. Hablinski’s designs are internationally renowned for its respect to traditional forms and historic imagery. His distinctive style draws inspiration from indigenous archetypes of classical and vernacular buildings derived from extensive studies and travels throughout the United States and Europe. His 'signature' of simple elegance and employing appropriate materials coupled with thoughtful attention to details, makes William Hablinski designs instantly recognizable.
Since founding his firm in 1978, his commissions include designs for clientele from all facets of business and entertainment including such notables as Tom Cruise and Katy Holmes, Warren Beatty and Annette Benning, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Jim Carrey, Vanna White, and Jennifer Lopez.
Mr. Hablinski also has a considerable resume of commercial and residential development projects including the Mayfair Condominium in New York City, Villas Del Mar Condominium in Pasadena, CA and residences for Oak Creek Canyon Ranch in Montecito, CA.
His work has been published in highly respected architecture publications including Architectural Lighting, Architectural Digest, Veranda Magazine, Audio Video Interiors, Builder Magazine, California Homes and Gardens, and The Classicist, the Journal of the Institute of Classical Architecture. In addition, his work has been recognized with numerous design awards including citations from the AIA and the American Society of Architectural Perspectivists.
Mr. Hablinski has lectured at the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Architecture. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas in Austin where he also studied city planning at a post-graduate level. Mr. Hablinski is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a licensed architect in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Florida, and Texas. He also is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
